New Release Review! Mated to the Water Dragon (High House Draconis #2 / High House Universe) Riley Storm!

I am visiting High House Draconis, today, where dragon shifter Victor Drakon forms a plan of revenge for a century-old wrong but when his plan is exposed, he'll have to choose between his money and the woman who might be his mate because the vampires have returned! Enjoy and don't forget to add MATED TO THE WATER DRAGON the 2nd book in the HIGH HOUSE DRACONIS by Riley Storm to your shelves!

When Cheryl Anders’ parents left Plymouth Falls, she stayed behind, determined to prove to them that the town wasn’t dying. Over a decade later, she finally has her chance to show she was right. The Drakon family has committed to investing in the town with a massive project, and she’s going to oversee it all. The only problem? The distractingly attractive new liaison from the Drakon family has decided to dramatically downsize everything.

Awoken from his sleep by accident, Victor Drakon is already in a foul mood. Told to take over from his brother, he forms a plan of revenge for a century-old wrong. His House and the people of Plymouth Falls will pay for the way they treated him. Things only get sweeter when he realizes the project manager for the town is a descendant of the woman who hurt him. This time, he’s going to see past her beauty, and get what he deserves!

It’s going to take a lot more than Cheryl’s good looks for him to change his mindset, and the determined town employee isn’t backing down anytime soon. The more they butt heads, the more sparks begin to fly, complicating the situation beyond what either of them is prepared for. It all comes to a head when Victor’s plan is exposed, and he must choose between his money and the woman who might be his mate—because the vampires have returned, and they don’t make a distinction between humans and dragons.

The Drakon family has committed to investing the town of Plymouth Falls with a massive project. Cheryl Anders stayed behind after her parents left town, determined to prove that the town wasn’t dying and now, a decade later finally has her chance.  Victor Drakon has been accidentally awakened from his sleep and is a foul mood, so when he’s told to take over from his brother, he forms a plan of revenge for a century-old wrong. The more Cheryl and Victor butt heads the more sparks fly, complicating the situation beyond what either is prepared for.

This spirited romance heats up the pages and leaves readers with dragon sized scorch marks. The chemistry between Victor and Cheryl burns hot and heavy throughout the story but the clashes between these two are even hotter, in fact the sparks flying between them approach volcanic and they threaten to erupt in heated passion at any given moment. The relationship is fiery and downright energetic and quite amusing at times.

The plot is fast paced, full of suspense and excitement as Victor and Cheryl try to out maneuver the other which really keeps readers glued to the pages but with some surprising, stomach flipping twists has Victor and Cheryl fighting a new enemy that could be bad news for the Drakon family. This High House story is a thoroughly entertaining and thrilling read with a bit of fun to liven it up even more.

Riley is one of those early-morning people you love to hate, because she swears she doesn't need caffeine, even though the coffee-maker is connected to her smartphone. She lives in a three-story townhouse by the good graces of a tabby-cat who rules the house, the couch, the table, well, basically everywhere. When she's not groveling for forgiveness for neglecting to pet her kitty enough, Riley is strapped in to her writing chair coming up with crazy worlds where she can make her own decisions of when feeding time is and how much coffee can be drank without her friends--of which she has three--holding yet another intervention that they threaten to post on the internet.
